A CASE OF SYSTEMIC LUPUS ERYTHEMATOSUS AXXOCIATED WITH PSYCHOTIC DISORDER

Abstract
|
|
|
The authors reported a case of systemic lupuserythematosus associated with psychotic disorder that was observed in a single Korean woman, aged 22.
The characteristic findings of this case were as follows:
1) The psychotic manifestations similar to the catatonic stupor were observed, which seemed to be related with the organic brain damage.
2) The physical symptoms and signs such as "butterfly rash", discoid lupus, oral ulcers, myalgia, arthralgia, high fever and general malaise were seen.
3) The laboratory findings disclosed mild anemia, leucopenia, marked increase of ESR, albuminuria ´ and false-positive STS.
4) The steroid therapy with conservative measures was administered and good results were obtained,
